The coding curriculum is broken down into three main areas: 1. Web Foundations (Responsive CSS, Data Types, Looping, etc.); 2. Front-End Development (AJAX, React, Intro to APIs, etc.); and 3. Back-End & Fullstack Development (Node, Express, SQL, etc.). Grads of the CSU Professional Education Coding Bootcamp learn the skills they need to be qualified for entry-level roles like Junior Software Engineer and Front-End Developer.

Many of our part-time students are working full time while taking the program. Keep in mind that there are 10 hours in class and 15-20 hours worth of homework per week.

Yes, the CSU Professional Education Coding Bootcamp is beginner-friendly. It’s specifically designed for professionals who have no previous experience in coding. While some background knowledge is helpful, the only expectation is that students have general computer literacy skills in basics like efficiently using the internet/cloud and Windows.

To be eligible for the program, you must be at least 18 years old and a high school grad/GED holder by the start date of your intended cohort.

Complete the application, take the assessment (60 minutes), and receive a decision. While taking the assessment, you may pause to save your progress and return at a later time. At any point in the process, you can also schedule a time to speak with one of our Student Advisors who can walk you through the process and answer your questions.
